The weather is getting warmer, and students are getting ready for summer! This means students are getting anxious to spend time outside, which sometimes leads to absences. This is just a reminder that, per board policy, we have a closed campus.

This policy means if a student leaves for lunch, or leaves to pick up lunch,  it counts as an excused absence.  Once a student is out of excused absences, ten days per state law, students have unexcused absences.  Students who have three unexcused absences can be referred for a truancy citation.

Recently, I sent reminders to all students getting close to their maximum absences: excuses or unexcused absences. If you have any questions, please call the school for more information.
